The game installed very easily. Even the game folder taken from my Windows install and just using the executable worked for me. Multi-player works and so does everything else. It runs, got my custom skins and my setups too. So that's great. But this game runs well on a fast computer with good video card.
What does not
The framerates are terrible, on a regular computer with no video card. Windows 7 gave it 30 FPS. My 32bit Ubuntu 10.04 5 to 10 FPS. so that is a downer, but i found out that with a 256MB older Nvidia Video-card Game worked at 20FPS. ok, but not the greatest. Also, on a Pentuim 4 with 128 MB ATI Video Card, the polygons showed up ugly for the cars and had 2 FPS. not good.
What was not tested
The training. I never used it. I already know how to drive a car. But i assume it should work.
I recommend this game, fun, but you need a fast GPU to enjoy it under Linux. the newer wine handles it ok, but i do believe that it's the Nvidia and ATI drivers fault that are causing this game to play badly under Linux and Wine.
