MOV playing, MP3 streaming (wazee.org), printing from both QuickTime Player and PictureViewer. Uninstaller.
What does not
Default video settings make the interface very slow and prone to blacking out (controls not visible). Set video to "Safe Mode (GDI Only) in Edit > Preferences > QuickTime Preferences > Video Settings.
The updater and the list of included TV channels fail to function due to broken URLs or newer unsupported codecs. The start-up logo movie (qtpix_auto.mov) often fails to play (minor). "AVDeck Independent Music Radio" loaded a skin but did not play.
What was not tested
Integration with other applications.
The tray applet will keep wineserver loaded until killed. It may not be visible and the player does not have controls that affect it. Prevent it from auto-starting by using regedit to remove the "QuickTime Task" value in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run.

Player has repaint problems with default configuration, resulting in a mostly black window. This can be mitigated somewhat by changing the QuickTime video settings using the QuickTime control panel applet. Use "wine control" then open the applet or load it directly on the command line using:
wine rundll32 shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL QuickTime.cpl
In Video Settings, uncheck "Enable DirectDraw On Secondary Monitors". This mostly solves the problem but not if a virtual desktop is used. In that situation the only solution is to select "Safe Mode (GDI Only)".
