It appears as though everything works correctly.
During installation I selected custom and installed everything (Over a IEs4Linux installation), and even the IE plugins worked!
What does not
Sometimes the quicktime preferences would load, and sometimes it wouldn't. Regardless of wine throwing an exception and freaking out about the failure to load the preferences control panel; QuickTime must have been programmed to take advantage of threads well because the app itself was never affected by wine crashes.

More codecs; as expected, there are minimal codecs installed (only those that come with quicktime so movie playing is limited).
The 'Virtual Reality' plugin that comes as an addon.
Truly the only work that needs to be done would be in two fields: the bizarre screen artifacts that occur while using some functions, and optimizing the blitting code for faster video playback.
