What works

DLGEDIT.EXE, RLADMIN.EXE, RLEDIT.EXE, and RLQUIKED.EXE all start up and display their GUIs. "File" | "Open..." appears to work in all of them.

RLMAN.EXE -m (command-line tool) works (to build/update master Token file from exe or res file).

What does not

RLMAN.EXE fails when creating a resource DLL (with the -r switch).

Additional Comments

There does not seem to be any license attached to this program: the "About" box states "Copyright © Microsoft Corp. 1981 - 1996". Version 1.88 appears to be the most recent version. The installer, rltools.exe is a DOS (not Win32) self-extracting executable. In order to run it on Ubuntu 8.04, it's necessary to first of all execute: sudo sysctl -w vm.mmap_min_addr=0 I've also tested this only in the Wine version packaged in Ubuntu 8.04, 1.0.0-1ubuntu4~hardy1, which I assume is based on the latest stable release, and RLMAN.EXE fails similarly there.
