Tested All Four episodes: Work flawlessly, no crashes so far. Sound works flawlessly. English Patch works flawlessly. Installation requires a fair amount of tweaking. http://atanok.wordpress.com/2009/09/05/how-to-run-umineko-no-naku-koro-ni-en-portable-and-multi-os/#more-131 Follow this guide to the letter (minus making the save files portable). Currently running Linux Mint 7 'Gloria' x64. (Jaunty 9.04)
What does not
Not sure if one can increase the size of the window in Windows or Mac, but after configuring everything based on the guide above. The game runs perfectly, however the window size cannot be increased. So it sticks with the internal resolution of 800x600 (which is obscenely small at 1920x1200 for reading certain texts).
What was not tested
Only downside to the game is that there's no in-game settings to decrease or mute the music that runs in the backgrounds. For most "background-scenes" the music that runs is anywhere from one to one and half minutes long. Given the great amount of text that needs to be read in order to progress through the story, the music can get incessant if not at times, downright aggravating. Not being able to turn it down or mute it is a great detraction from the game. However the music itself in several cases is quite good. Lastly, as mentioned in the guide above. You can make your own directory folders and situate the game on any drive you want, but I've found that it works best if you follow the guide to the letter and place the game on your OS drive.
