Looks everything working, but I am not using this program. Just installed it for someone else...
What does not
Can't really say. Looks fine to me but I don't know how to work it and I am not interesting to learn. Just want to tell you how to install it.....
What was not tested
I installed it, fixed the error font, make a graph and thats it.....
Installation instructions: 1) First install the mfc40.dll with winetricks (Winetricks -> Select the default wineprefix -> Install a Windows DLL or component -> mfc40) 2) Install Solar Fire (Run Uninstall Wine Software -> Install -> select the installation file and install it) 3) You have to fix the font etsans2.fon. You will find the font at the /windows/Fonts folder under the /.wine folder. You have to use the free font editor FontForge and Force Encode the font with the Windows Latin ("ANSI") option. You can check the bug 8177 and download the correct font from there. I described there how to fix it but I can tell the basic steps again: a) Download and install the FontForge. Right now I am using the Linux Mint 14 Cinnamon edition and I found the FontForge from the software manager. The official site is the http://fontforge.org/. b) Run FontForge and load the font etsans2.fon. As I said you can find the font at the /windows/Fonts folder under the /.wine folder. c) From FontForge select Encoding -> Force Encoding -> Windows Latin ("ANSI") d) Save the font with the same name (File -> Save) Make sure you put the fixed font with the same name at the /windows/Fonts folder. You can now run the program....
