VLC media player

What works

• Installation and uninstallation
• Basic audio and video playback
• Change playback speed
• About, help, and check for updates
• Many of the special effects that can be applied to files
• Audio spatializers

What does not

• Fullscreen mode - the program does weird things like painting the entire screen black, or producing a large black "block" on the screen. Nothing useful.
• Some video effects stop video playback (though audio continues to play). Problematic effects include most of the rotational effects and the puzzle game.
• Converting a file - the program hangs when clicking the "add" button
• Drag and drop from a native file manager
• The program crashes when trying to display a video if Windows version is set to Vista or Win7 in winecfg.
