Odin Diet Client

What works

• Login / Logoff
• Everything required for trading works fine
  
• Streaming prices and data, live connectivity
• Market Depth (top 5 buy/sell)
• Orders placement (buy, sell, stoploss orders)
• Orders status, modification and cancellation.
  
• Column setup (profiles), customization, marketwatch and workspaces
• Messages area (bar)
• RMS (Risk Management System), Outstanding position, etc
• Equity (Cash), Futures, Options, etc all work
  

What does not

Everything seems to work, some features are not tested since broker has not provided the facility (Eg Commodities, Currency, etc) but should most likely work.

 If you are getting a "Connection Busy Error (LogonToServer)" error, then you have to get the correct settings for Odin from your broker (usually distributed as a .reg registry file).

 Intraday graphs worked only from the time displayed, and historical graphing failed with an error "cannot open historic URL", but this may be a provider (broker) limitation rather than a Wine issue per-se.

Additional Comments

Before installation, please install vcredist. This is included with Odin, if you cannot find it, please look in the Odin directory of an existing installation. If you get a "Connection Busy Error (LogonToServer)", please contact your broker for updated settings (usually a registry file). You may also need to apply Patch files as issued by your broker. Sequence: Install vcredist, then Odin Diet, then Patch files if any, then registry files if any, then Masters files if any. If it still does not work after following all this sequence, copy Odin folder from a working installation and replace files when prompted.

I just installed and run the program successfully, no testing is done. Installed on ubuntu 8.10, in wine ver 1.1.25

First install Diet Odin main setup.

Then run Diet odin Patch.

and then run vcredist_x86.exe.

Now to run, just double click Diet Odin icon on desktop. Login window will appear.

After testing further details will be added.
