Call of Juarez 2: Bound in Blood

What works

• Installing the game from DVD
• Playing the game in Singleplayer mode
• Sound works after small change with winecfg

To get sound working I just started winecfg, selected the audio tab and changed hardware acceleration from "full" to "emulation".

What does not

• Fullscreen worked only in 1024x768, 1152x864 and 1280x1024. For other resolutions I had to set a virtual desktop with winecfg
• When leaving the game the original resolution doesn't get restored (run 'xrandr -s 0' to do that, little thing I read on winetricks)

Additional Comments

I started with an empty wine-directory to make sure I hadn't installed any dll's or something like that and ran winecfg to set up defaults (just selected every tab once). Then I installed the game and could play right away. Tried with default graphics settings and later changed to "best quality". Looked great, no glitches or anything else. To get proper fullscreen I had to disable "allow the window manager to control the windows" in the graphics tab with winecfg. Hard- and software configuration: AMD Athlon X2 7750 (2x2.7 GHz) with Nvidia Geforce 9600 GSO Debian Squeeze (stable) 32-bit Nvidia driver 195.36.31-6 from Debian stable Wine version 1.3.14 from Mepis
