What works

I have thoroughly tested TreeDBNotes Pro 3.45 on two separate computers both running Sidux 2009-02 with Windows Xp running in VirtualBox.  One computer is a Thinkpad t61 notebook, the other is an HP Mini 2140

TreeDBNotes installs easily under Wine 1.126 and functions nearly flawlessly. All functions seem to work, however there are some problems as outlined below.

TreeDBnotes appears still to be one of the few full-featured notes program that I could find that would run on both Linux and on Windows. As well, it runs off a USB key too, so I can keep my work with me and add to it no matter where I am, or whose computer I am using.

Many Windows users are unable to switch to Linux because of the general lack of a full featured note program for Linux. While TreeDBnotes fulfills this need for now, it would be very reassuring if the programmers could ensure compatibility with LINUX Wine

What does not

Occasionally, some fonts do not display correctly and are all crammed together making it difficult to read.
Sometimes the font cannot be changed to a larger or smaller size

Pasting data from websites on Firefox usually results in all formatting being stripped. Only plain text is pasted. This does not happen when using the TreeDBNotes in Windows- all copying and pasting functions from Firefox work.

Pasting from OpenOffice Writer in Linux is hit and miss. It seems that if the text is too long, the program will not copy the data over. This does not happen when using the TreeDBNotes in Windows- all copying and pasting functions from OpenOffice Writer work.

Occasionally the Global Search function will freeze.

Minimizing the TreeDBWindow sometimes also fails- the window sometimes will minimize and sometimes will not.  As well, it is requires many mouse-clicks to try to get the window to maximize again.

Additional Comments

If the various small problems were resolved, this program would work perfectly! Currently, the problem with jumbled fonts, and inability to properly paste from Firefox and OpenOffice Writer create problems. Some improvements would warrant a PLATINUM rating.
