Installation. When the DirectX installer appears, you can click cancel and the installation will succeed.
What does not
The game itself fails to run due to copy protection issues. When attempting to run the game, a pop-up appears with the error:
"Copy protection driver is not installed. Please execute the file Support\DrvSetup.exe on your CD/DVD to install the necessary driver."
Attempting to run this produces a 'TAGES Drivers' error pop-up - "Unable to proceed (error 32)".
According to the support page here:
it is suggested to use a newer TAGES driver if experiencing TAGES compatibility issues, from:
The newer version just gives the error:
"Unable to proceed (error 1723)".
What was not tested
Unable to test the game, as it would not run.
Looks like bug 10264. Perhaps one would have better luck with a NoCD crack, but I haven't tried.
