What does not
Similar Windowing problems to Poser 7 - windows tend to be hidden behind existing windows and preview renders are extremely slow.
There are various glitches due to case sensitivity issues - Poser was orginally written for the Mac (pre OS X) which was case sensitive like Linux, then ported to case INsensitive Windows.
Many of the internal tasks are inconsistent in their handling of case related issues! The result is often strange sort orders and occasionally file name conflicts.
For example a "prop library" of "Hats" may have a duplicate of "hats" in a menu, but only ONE of the directories can be selected! Which one is actually selected appears related to some internal ordering within Poser!
The ordering of "Hats" and "hats" may have the two together, "hats" near the top, "Hats" near the bottom, or even some mixing of the two!
This problem appears very rarely in a pure Windows install, but appears frequently in a Wine install.
My surmise is that the Poser coders have merely fixed problems in an "ad hoc" manner rather than in any structured or organised fashion such trying to analyse the root cause of the problems.
Sadly this appears to be another case of replicating Windows bugs (features??) as well as the actual API. The Poser development and "support" team have not been responsive to bug reports in the past (in my case starting with Poser 2 many years ago)!
What was not tested
Cloth room, advanced features which are similar to Poser 7
Install requires some care due to file name problems on the CD which do not translate through Wine. Running the "install.exe" directly works while the "start_here.exe" (menu driven install) aborts with "missing files" errors.
