What works

Installed Word Perfect Suite 7 for Windows 95.  Had to manually put in the directories as the previous August 28th 2011 test did.  Good thing I saw that, that is how I learned how to do it.  I copied those directories and files installed in windows before.  Just copied all the c:\corel directories and those other ones mentioned in the .rsp files.  The c:\demo was't in the windows c drive.  Had to enter a new folder.  Copied them into the so called wine c drive.  Start menu, Wine, browse c: drive.  Then did a wine “reinstall”

Just installed Quattro Pro, and Word Perfect, with the other required components.

Configured wine.  Quattro Pro runs in both windows 95 and 98 mode.  Couldn't see any difference.

Quattro pro will only let you start files by starting quattro pro, then opening on the Quattro Pro file like .WB2 from a linux file explorer window.  After the 1st time opening a file, then the next time the File, number of the file listed will open O.K.

If you get the had to close error, then a reboot is required to restart the program.

Happened in Windows XP Service pack 3 as well.  Ran in windows 98 mode in Windows XP.  It worked O.K. when Windows XP 1st came out.  Somewhere around the time when they started with the limited XP logins the error started happening.

The files with multiple links to other files, if you use the open option, it will crash.  They can be opened using the update option.

What does not

On the install got an error message that all fonts were not installed.  Something about the maximum number of fonts was reached.  It said to delete the ones you don't want, and retry.  The fonts worked O.K. on my files I got to open after the install.

In Quattro,  the File, open, and File save as will make it crash.  Cannot save them in another format.  Will have to copy a quattro file to a new file name to make a new file.  There is an original open file on the drive.  Better not to make new files in Quattro.  I use it only for existing files.

Couldn't get word perfect to run in windows NT 3.51 mode.  There was no 3.5 option available.

Word perfect files seem to open O.K. in Libre office.  But not Quattro pro files.
