However, this is indeed promising, especially since this is without opensource drivers.

Installation

Change to the CD-ROM mount directory and run the Autorun.exe from that location. Trying to run it otherwise will result in an error.

cd /media/cdrom/

wine Autorun.exe

Due to a bug in the shortcut creation you may need to terminate the install process before continuing with installing any patches. (Should be fixed as of 0.9.61)

killall winemenubuilder.exe

Note that the menu's may not appear properly because of this until the menus are reloaded i.e. at next login.

Patching

You should use patch 445 which includes multi-player support and removes the CD check. Once the contents are extracted, run it like any other exe. Currently the CD check used does not work in wine, so to play the game you will need to use this.

Configuring Graphics

The is an in game bug that prevents access of the graphics menu, selecting it will crash the game immediately. Instead, configure the graphics with the menu "Drakan Engine Options" or by running the Drakan executable as follows.

Configuring Controls

Attempts to redefine the keyboard controls may result in the game hanging. If this occurs, you can work around it by editing the configuration file directly.
