What does not
The newest Wine version gives much better results on this game, fixing some problems existing before. The game now actually allows you to play, has above-average perfomance and is adequate in common. However, the keyboard bug is still there time to time (Sometimes it is not). I've tried everything but I'm still unable to figure what's wrong. Menu and UI now perform better but you still may have a bug with disappearing menu labels. I've found a fix for it resulting good on GeForce graphic boards. Look for it below or in HowTo. The flickering HUD problem is still here but can be fixed when digging some game files (It is not a Wine bug). I've managed to discover a working file config so I'll produce a homemade game patch shortly. It solves annoying flicker. (See HowTo for details).
What was not tested
Internet gaming, the whole storyline, mapping the joystick.
The game is now playable, has the sound and feels almost just like it should be. If not the keyboard mess, this could be "Gold" because you're actually able to complete the game.

In order to fix disappearing items on GeForce boards, google for "cshell.dll" library replacement for the game.
It is a well-known GeForce patch released back in 2000. Here it is the download mirror. Unpack the archive and replace the "cshell.dll" file in the game installation directory.
