With regards to sound, you'll need to add mmdevapi. However, DO NOT set it to disabled. Doing so will prevent you from getting sound. For full screen play I went into options and set it to windowed maximized mode. This allowed me to play the game at a higher resolution than before. Performance was OK (playable) but should be better.
