What works

Converted avi, flv & mpg files no problem using the preset dimensions and quality settings.

Played fine on my Wharfedale SLM01. Quality was acceptable for a small hand held player.

GUI does not render properly unless it is integrated into a wine desktop, then it renders ok but the app is very slow to load, 20 seconds + but its ok once loaded so go make a coffee and it should have loaded and ready to go when you get back :)

What does not

N/A

Workarounds

What was not tested

Music file sound dubbing, converting from 3gp, vob, rm, qt, dat, asf, wmv formats.

Additional Comments

Requires DirectX 9, KLIte codec pack, Real alternative, Quick alternative and registered qedit.dll to work. Requires work path to be specified as well as the command line in shortcut, otherwise it will fall over. Probably because it is badly coded and cannot hook it's own libraries (looking at the debug) unless the work path is specified. This is essential if it is to work !!!... The GUI can be customized by replacing the BG.bmp image in the GUI folder with your own design image.

HowTo / Notes

HOWTO
1. Update to the last version of Wine (tested with 1.1.29)
2. winetricks wmp9 directx9
3. In winecfg go to "Libraries". Mark "dsound" as "native (windows)". Add "qedit" and mark it as native too.
4. wine regsvr32 "C:\Windows\system32\qedit.dll"
VideoConvert should work then. Perhaps you need some codecs, get them with "winetricks allcodecs"
