I hav tested Talk Now! through Wine and unfortunately I have to say just installation works but when you run it then only welcome sound plays (sound in the beginning).
When you step in into lessons, vocabulary etc. what is the base of the course you always get error, as you can see below. It's the same error as it's been described here:
I have been seeking, testing combinations with turning on and off many sound drivers, trying various tricks and found where probably is the problem: while exploring the CD (with the course) I couldn't play some files due "iv50"codec error and this is the point why it probably doesn't work...
So, there is a need to find out the way how to set in wine let sound files are played with "iv50" support and the course can work... I still cannot find what I'd play those iv50 files by...
What does not
As I described above, works installation, the start - or welcome invitation.
What is not working: - the rest... :-(
What was not tested
I didn't tested the rest except the start of the course due the problems above...
I suppose when it'll be possible to play iv50 coded format files also the course should work. If you'll find any way how to plat iv50, please do not hesitate to inform.
