What works

Opening Starcraft Maps (.scm), BroodWar Maps (.scx), Raw Scenario Files (.chk), Warcraft II Puds (.pud) - Some complex map files do not open and show errors, or open but show string corruption detected (Probably SCMDraft issue or result of 'protected' map files)

Saving Maps - Sometimes dialog appears "Unable to copy temp file (Path to .tmp file)to final destination (Path to save file name) Try using saveas if the mapname includes unicode."

Autosave

Minimap

Adding and editing Terrain

Adding and editing Locations - Some locations when selected cause SCMDraft to crash with Trigedit prompt: Something bad happened, would you like to save a diagnostic file? Yes No

Adding and editing Units

Adding and editing Sprites

Adding and editing Doodads

Toolbar buttons and dropdown menus

What does not

Errors with opening some maps (May be limitations of SCMDraft with protected map files)

Opening two or more map files at a time crashes with Trigedit prompt: Something bad happened, would you like to save a diagnostic file? Yes No

Occasional issue with opening and saving map files (might be due to permissions or file in use such as with Starcraft game having loaded the file in memory from recent gameplay activity)

Menu -> Display Options -> Permanent Locations - If any of the locations (as mentioned in What works) cause SCMDraft to crash, enabling this will also trigger SCMDraft to crash

Menu -> Triggers -> Classic Map Triggers - Works, but when adding or editing a trigger entry, Conditons and Actions tab have a few issues with usability (see below)

Menu -> Triggers -> Classic Map Triggers -> Conditions/Actions - When adding or editing a trigger condition or action that has multiple configurable options (appear in blue text with underline), clicking on any of them to change their values always presents dropdown menu for the first configurable option

Menu -> Triggers -> Classic Mission Briefing - Same issue as with Classic Map Triggers

Menu -> Triggers -> Trigger Editor - Works, but opens with window vertically smallest size, appears as if there is no GUI until resizing to larger window size

Menu -> Triggers -> Trigger Editor - With some map files, opening this seems like it hangs SCMDraft, but instead takes an incredibly long time to load and appear. Also, when resizing the window that does appear, also causes redrawing window takes a long time to display content. In case of this issue, various usage of TrigEdit operates incredibly slow, such as selecting all text in editor and delete/backspace

Menu -> Triggers -> Mission Briefing Editor - Same issue as with Trigger Editor

Also I stumbled upon github.com/jjf28/Chkdraft but it does not seem too active or complete
Malfunction: Edit condition properties / Edit action properties
by Jason Khanlar on Friday May 19th 2017, 1:42
Hi. I just applied as maintainer for this application entry so as to enable comments and point out specifically that Classic Map Triggers and Classic Map Briefing editor interfaces have an issue with the interface not working for Conditions and Actions entries that have multiple customizable options - Only the first customizable option is customizable, all attempts to customize other options always direct to the first entry.

I haven't tested the app in a Windows environment to be certain that this is a Wine specific issue, but I am confident that it is.

All other analysis referenced in the test results also are a quick review of the application's functionality, which is mostly functional, but this issue is primary concern.

Any ideas on how to further diagnose what the cause of this issue is and how it can be fixed/resolved?
