Additional Comments

Graphics which fail to render are: the campaign map, the portrait of the player character, the portmanteau backdrop, and the in-game mouse cursor. The latter makes the game effectively unplayable. FWIW, the cursor fails to appear under Windowmaker, fluxbox or openbox.

HowTo / Notes

avoid crash when picking up scrolls
At least in the German version is a bug which crashes the game when picking up scrolls. Just copy/rename the sound files in the Sounds directory (picview1.wav to 'Picview1'.wav and picview2.wav to 'Picview2'.wav). This bug also exists on Windows.
Test the game right

Always use "winefile" to install and run the game and always use the same drive. This is an old game. It relies on this for finding the game CD and playing the game music from CD.

Don't send any test reports with "CD not found" if you haven't tested with "winefile"!
