Quicken

What works

This report is for Quicken Deluxe v7.0 Australia and New Zealand. The program installs perfectly from the CD and all standard and standalone functions generally work well. Tested under Wine 1.0 as this was the version available for Ubuntu 8.04. Entry of data works, memorised reports work, standard reports work. Graphs work flawlessly. Scheduled transactions work. Autofill works. Splits work.

What does not

The serial number is not fully shown in the registration box and needs to be obtained from the text of the Quicken.ini file which is installed in the Wine Windows folders. The scroll bars show only the top control arrow but work reasonably. The backup facility is giving me trouble if I try to backup the open accounts file - it states 'cannot open source file'. However, using the option to select a file to backup works ok. Could be a settings issue and will be explored further.
