Maintainers: About Maintainership
What works
Single Player - Played through the first level with no problems. Cut-scenes play, but are not full-screen. This is noted on the Steam Forums: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=967997
3D Acceleration worked for me (nVIDIA 8600GTS)
What does not
Cut scenes and menu don't play fullscreen.
Sound lags behind a bit and some sound effects periodically cut out/ don't play.
Workarounds
What was not tested
Multiplayer - I was able choose Host Game and it seemed to work, but there aren't many(any) players looking for a game nor are there any servers to try and connect to. Choosing Join game and letting it search, results in searching for an indefinite time, with no results.

Additional Comments
Even though the Steam version has no CD, Wine needs to have a drive mapping for a CD-ROM, or the game will refuse to launch, prompting to "Insert CD". To add a mapping open winecfg, click on the Drives tab, select Add, choose a drive letter and click OK. Then next to Path: click Browse and choose tho location of your CD-ROM (on Ubuntu it is /cdrom/). Next click Show advanced and under Type choose CD-ROM. Click OK. For more info on drive mapping, see: http://www.winehq.org/docs/wineusr-guide/config-wine-main#AEN293 This game uses DirectPlay for multiplayer. If nothing shows up in the "Network Providers" box, try installing directplay with winetricks: http://wiki.winehq.org/DirectPlayGames
