What works
***UPDATE***
Game versions 230+ are now 95% Functional Using...
Wine Versions 1.0.1, 1.1.29, 1.1.31 - YES - New wine versions are now working!
AMD64Bit or INTEL Xeon/Pentium4+, Centrino, Turion64, Core2Duo (All Tested)
Nvidia or Intel Based Mainboard (Tested Both, with multiple configurations)
Winetricks (All Vbrun and other Visual Basic Runtimes)
Several Simple Wine Registry Entries
All Testing Performed Using Default Onboard Sound Cards. (Various)
Also Tested with Creative X-FI xtreme audio------------------------------------------------------
Description:
Game will install properly and update, though some launcher textures
are missing. Can be Confusing to tell how far along the install/updates
are. (*Update* Launcher is now working properly with new versions of wine, and the addition of "fonts" and "msxml3" as noted by "Ivan")
Waiting it out, the game will eventually display the 100% out of 100% and allow you to start the game.
Upon Character Creation, which works perfectly, you are able to log in normally with no visible/mechanic flaws on any of the character screens.
Login to the game works as expected, however some of the building and bridge textures are missing. This is the most visibly obvious bug I was able to find.
---------------------------------------------------------
Several Other Small Bugs Exist...
1.
Cannot use the Pay Items Purchase Screen - Game Locks - Players can
make purchases using website, and simply login to retrieve the items
purchased. (Correction - Virtualbox and XP must be used to buy items...)
2. Sound Issues are noticed on some systems.
Set up Alsa Manually in the Wine Registry with the entries below to Resolve the Issues:
[Software\\Wine\\Alsa Driver]
“AutoScanCardsâ€=â€Yâ€
“DeviceCountâ€=â€1″
“DeviceCTL1″=â€defaultâ€
“DevicePCM1″=â€defaultâ€
“UseDirectHWâ€=â€Yâ€
Start Requiem with the wine aoss prefix eg... "aoss wine (Program Location)"
3. Some of the Patch Download Settings (Other Then The Defaults) Can Cause the Game to Stop Working Requiring Re-Install. (*Update* - This Seems to be resolved in newer versions of the client)
4.
If the Game is Set to Windowed Mode the Cursor Will be approx 1/4"
higher physically then its icon... Setting back to Full Screen In
requiem Fixes the Issue. ( Still Exists )
-------------------------------------------------------
Game Functions Normally Otherwise...
Game is VERY Playable, My Experience with a 4200 Dual Core AMD, 2 Gigs DDR-2, and a 256mb PCI-X 8600GT was well over 60 FPS with Higher Visual Settings Used. What does not
1. Launcher Missing Textures
- ***Newer Wine Resolves This Issue
2. Premium Item Store (Ingame)
Locks up Game/System (Workaround by using a VMWare-Vbox / WinXP install to buy items)
3. Sound Cuts Out - (Workaround Available)
4. Patch Download Settings Cause Game Corruption If Changed From Defaults
- Newer Wine Seems to Resolve This Issue
5. Cursor Icon and Its Physical Location Are 1/4" off from each other in Requiems Windowed Mode. (Still Exists)
6. Better Results with an Emulated Desktop of 1024x768, though loading takes a long time (90 seconds plus, can be several minutes)
Workarounds
What was not tested
1. Running Multiple Clients
2. Locating all Needed .dll files
3. Extended Troubleshooting for Gecko (Launcher Fix for 1.0.1?)
4. Extended Item Mall Ingame Troubleshooting
(Locks Game)
5. Shader Overrides
(To Repair Missing Textures on Geometry)
6. Etc...
Hardware tested

Additional Comments
Gold - As it is 100% playable with a few small workarounds. ALL that is needed is to determine the issue that is causing the item mall to lock up. It MUST be something simple. Still working on it here...
