HOWTO play without CD-ROM drive noise

You can play without your noisy CD-ROM drive, at the cost of another 150MB on your HD, as follows:

  • Copy the directories movies/ and gmovies/ to your installation directory.
  • In winecfg, declare a virtual CD-ROM drive, give it the same label as your original disk and let it ­point to your installation directory.
