1) Do not open as an opengl (do not add "-opengl" suffix in the link) 2) Start 'Configure Wine', and press 'Add Application', go to the installation folder, e.g., 'C:\Program Files\Britannica 9.0\Student and Home Edition' -- click on "starter.exe", and then press 'OPEN'. This will add 'starter.exe' open for configuration. 3) Make sure you've clicked 'starter.exe', switch to 'Graphics' and make sure you check these options: + Allow DirectX apps to stop the mouse leaving their window + Allow the window manager to decorate the windows + Allow the window manager to control the windows + Emulate a virtual desktop (I find 1200x768-screen resolution applicable for virtually all today's monitors.)
