50 MB free disk space (tool contains electronic component library with 40000 elements)
256 MB RAM
Not tried all possible components for all 26 reliability prediction standards but have tried one LF Transistor under IEC 6380.
Step 1: selection of component family and type
Selection of Family: ELECTRONIC of MECHANICAL.
Selection of Item Code
Step 2: select reliability prediction method
Step 3: select environment and temperature
Step 4 enter component parameters
Works (all dialogue boxes and 6 buttons in window that pops open on pressing "Calculate" button in step 4 and pressing OK or Cancel. Parts can be saved and recalled from library.)
Step 5 Get MTBF and FR
Works (haven't verified accuracy but numbers are the same as when running app in Windows XP)
What does not
Help button in dialogue box that opens on pressing "Calculate" button in Step 4 but this doesn't do anything when running app in Windows XP either.
What was not tested
Think I've tested everything.
App does not run out-of-the-box. Need to find up-to-date copies of mfc42.dll (6.2.4131.0) and msvcp60.dll (6.2.4131.0) To get this running I just copied them to /home//.wine/drive_c/Program Files/MTBFCalculator/BIN Will do it properly (as in Wine help on getting programs to run) later ....
