To fix graphic corruptions, simply change between desktop viewports (desktop 1 and desktop 2) and then switch back to viewport 1. This will "reset" the Fireworks UI to repaint everything that may have appeared corrupted. This is the only reason I notched it down to Gold rating, because you have to do this annoying reset all the time.
