Importing prices from a .csv file (which can be downloaded from http://download.finance.yahoo....) by using the URL:
http://download.finance.yahoo.com/d/quotes.csv?s=[put each security symbol here with comma separation & no spaces and no brackets as in IBM,BA, etc]&f=sl1d1&e=.csv.
Example: http://download.finance.yahoo....
Jul 18 - Since Yahoo no longer supplies the data in CSV,one has to find another source. Currently with my stocks, the company I deal with has a watch list with prices that can be downloaded in CSV and so I can still import prices.
Jul 18 - Restoring backups and year-end backup (where old data is moved to a separate file) works
What does not
1) Connecting to Intuit (no longer supported on this version) or downloading information
2) In a bank account, when adding a transaction and using the little calendar next to the date field to select a date, after the date is selected, a TAB key will not move to the next field. One can just click on that next field to move there, however. On the other hand, if one just used the +/- keys to advance, or back up the date, the TAB key works fine.
3) Similarly, when advancing fields, the choices in the previous field remain as flashing ghosts at times.
Workarounds
(2) Manually move to desired field by clicking mouse in that field.
(3)Ignoring the ghosts and just moving on to the following fields works.
What was not tested
Restoring from backup
Year-end Backup
Tasks not ordinarily done in the process of using Quicken on a day-to-day basis
Validate or SuperValidate
