Install d3dx9 with winetricks. Before to install the game, follow the instructions in this page (Borderlands offline activation) : http://www.2kgames.com/borderlands/activation/ Because, the activation online at the end of installation doesn't work. The game doesn't need a NO-CD patch if you did the offline activation. (and/or if you have an official game)
