What works

User isn't able to get past the installer to test "what works".

What does not

The installer.

More specifically, the installer errors out while trying to extract what appears to be "dotnetfx3". The error message is as follows:

"Unable to find a volume for file extraction. Please verify that you have the proper permissions."

This message occurs after the installer downloads the Microsoft .Net Framework 3.0 and Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable and prompts the user to Install.

Courses of action taken with no resolve:

• Recursively chmod the .wine directory to 777 permissions.
• Run winecfg and verify that drives are not "Auto Detected". More specifically make sure that they are "Local Drives".

One last note, the installer will not work under Windows 2000 application settings. User must switch to Windows XP or greater.
