I used "graham" guidance below (which links to this page http://nomo17k.wordpress.com/2010/06/11/installing-kindle-for-pc-on-debian-squeeze/)in a new wine bottle and it worked flawlessly. NB this version is described as BETA and the instructions above downloads version 1.0 Beta 1. I don't know if any of the other beta versions work Admin note: rating changed to conform to the rating definitions.
