Game works fine on video - sound and input Tested on: Wine 1.5.18, Wine prefix Windows 7, CDEmu for drive installs (Daemon Tools on Linux), AMD A4 3300 2.5Ghz, Asus NVIDIA Geforce GT520 Silent V2 1024MB DDR3 64bit, 8gb (2x4) DDR3 1333, NVIDIA Drivers 310.19, Linux Mint 14 Nadia Mate Desktop 32 Bit Kernel 3.5.0.19 PAE This driver detect Geforce GT520 how as Geforce 8800GTX but is much better when before detect only Geforce 8400GS and allow change resolution in game without problems This driver is highly recommended if you have NVIDIA Geforce Card 8000 series and upper versions because give more fps in many pc games titles

HowTo / Notes

HOWTO: Change Direct3D to OpenGL rendering

1. Go to Hitman 2's directory, which is likely ~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Eidos Interactive/Hitman 2 Silent Assassin
2. Then type this: wine notepad Hitman2.ini
3. On the line "DrawDll RenderD3D.dll", Change it to "DrawDll RenderOpenGL.dll"
4. Save the file

PS. Do NOT use editors like nano or pico. They'll save the "new line" as \n instead of \n\r which the game does not understand.

Make sure that you have your video drivers and xorg configured correctly. Download and run Envy to do this. http://albertomilone.com/nvidia_scripts1.html

Note:

During gameplay in certain lighting, the character models may turn completely black. If anyone has a fix, please let me know.

Mac OSX sound issues

If you have issues with sound latency (or weird sound glitches) on Mac OSX go to winetricks and install dsound.

hitman-silent assassin lagging on using mouse

On playing hitman-silent assassin, it works perfectly until I use mouse, whenever i move cursor little bit it starts lagging.
please, tell me how to fix this problem.

Game has high speed

I installed the retail version of this game with WINE 1.9.13 and recognize, that 47 runs too fast.
