What works
Installation worked without a hitch. No problems with gameplay after installing directmusic; world view, in town, and battles.
What does not
Hardware Acceleration. FF8_Config didn't work normally for me. You can change the settings but it wouldn't draw the config window properly unless another window was dragged over it. I rated the game Gold, as the FF8_Config window was not working normally for me, and needed directmusic from winetricks for sound to work. Admin note: rating changed to conform to the rating definitions.
