What works

The game runs at full framerate with sound.

What does not

• When playing in windowed mode, the mouse escapes the game window.
• The OpenGL renderer displays some liquid textures incorrectly.
• The D3D renderer causes graphical glitches and flickering.

Workarounds

To fully capture the mouse in the game window:

1. After installing the game, run this command once:
   winetricks mwo=force
2. To release the mouse while playing, press [Alt] + [Tab] and switch to another window.

To switch from the D3D renderer to the OpenGL renderer:

1. Edit the file System/Postal2.ini in the game's install folder using a text editor.
2. Scroll down to the [Engine.Engine] section.
3. Add a semicolon before all RenderDevice=* lines except the OpenGL one like so:
   ;RenderDevice=D3DDrv.D3DRenderDevice
   ;RenderDevice=Engine.NullRenderDevice
   RenderDevice=OpenGLDrv.OpenGLRenderDevice

The game was tested on WINE 9.17 with WoW64.

The version tested was "Postal 2 Complete" from GOG.
