HowTo / Notes

Configuration

Ingame options are all in japanese, recommend directly editing config file in base directory. You will have to run the game once and quit out to create the config file.

quick rundown of some of the more obscure config variables:

exlight: glowing light effects on certain parts of the background. Recommend on.

shader: use shaders. Disabling this will disable exlight and blur. Recommend on, if you have the hardware.

vertex_buffer: use the vertex buffer. Seems to make no difference, performance or otherwise. (recommend leaving off)

simplebg: if set to 1, removes complex geometry from the background. use only if you're having performance issues.

noblur: if set to 1, removes blurring effects which occur when something explodes. A major performance bottleneck and can obscure vision - but looks superb if you have the hardware.

bloom: default 1, amount of bloom to apply. (recommend leaving at 1.0000)

scorename: player name for use in network game

thread: amount of threads to use. Should default to the number of cores.

The rest are mostly self-explanatory and control related. Setting up the controls can be a pain but it works much better with a pad. I'll upload a diagram and config file for xbox 360 pad users soon.
