Slackware 13,37 may have problems with installer. It's not a Wine bug. For a simple work around for installing; check out bug 30151.

HowTo / Notes

For Slackware 13.37 users
With Slackware 13.37, CONFIG_MIN_MMAP_ADDR is increased. It causes the installer to crash with page fault. Simple work around for installer is to use sysctl vm.mmap_min_addr=4096 (4096 was old default).
