What works
Everything listed in Arts' test. His data and his more recent instructions are still valid for Wine 1.3.37. The only difference is that the game works faster and with more responsive interface than in my Windows. Tested latest versions of Magna Mundi and The Dark Years mods.
What does not
Background music. Game crashes on exit, but the same happens in my Windows 7 x64. Might be an x64 issue.

Had to compile Wine from source. OpenSUSE package fails to get direct sound access to my sound card.
