Additional Comments

NOTES: This game worked really well after using winetricks to install directx and following these notes. Also I experienced audio issues (no audio) which was resolved by using winecfg to set the sound to emulation. NOTE: The audio only worked when set to the following (via registry or winecfg) [Software\\Wine\\DirectSound] "DefaultBitsPerSample"="16" "DefaultSampleRate"="44100" "HardwareAcceleration"="Emulation" Game runs well with most effects enabled, Around 70-80% of the speed of windows version atm. For better performance I reduced the resolution 1 or 2 settings down from my usual settings (1920x1200). In-Game video settings: - Resolution: 1600x1024 - Texture Detail: High - Shadow Detail: Low - Soft Particles: Off - Persistent Debris: Off - Shadow Maps: Off - Mirror Detail: Low - Book Detail: Low At the start of each level or level transition there is a short framerate drop for 2-5 seconds. After which the game returns to a playable level. The mouse is affected by some warping issues, if you find that it causes playability issues you can use: [Software\\Wine\\DirectInput] "MouseWarpOverride"="force" Setting this option will require you to use the keyboard to navigate the in-game menu's, however when set gameplay works as expected. Lastly, I had an issue where the keyboard repeat in the desktop was affecting WASD movement. Temporarily disabling keyboard repeat in your desktop environment will allow for smoother gameplay.
