What works

Everything except installation -- the program wants to run only in demo mode after installing it with Wine, and it will say "time limit expired" (or something similar) after which it closes up, even if a valid serial number was entered during installation.

However, if you already have a working installation on a Windows box, you can copy all of the EXE and DLL files from the Windows installation directory into the directory under ~/.wine/drive_c where the program was installed on Linux, and the program will open and run normally.

Didn't try capturing the scanner.  But feeding it a TIFF or JPEG file works. :)

What does not

Installation has some issues (see "What works" above). There is a 3-1/2" floppy which you have to copy to the ".wine/dosdevices/a:" directory, then you can mount the CD-ROM installation disk and run "Install.exe" from the A: device under Wine (either using "wine" or "wineconsole cmd" seems to work equally well).

If you get a prompt asking for the location of the CD, make sure you have actually mounted the CD drive... (doh...but I wasted several minutes until i realized the problem :) )

Later, you will need to copy the EXE and/or DLL files (don't know which ones are needed) from a working Windows installation to your Wine installation directory in order for it to run the full version.

What was not tested

Scanner capturing was not tested, but feeding it a TIFF or JPEG file works.
