What works

Word processor, spreadsheet, database, portfolio.

What does not

Works Calendar doesn't work -- a Window opens for a second and then crashes, and then an error message pops up saying that one or more required files are missing and suggests reinstalling Works. Reinstalling Works does not solve the problem.

Also, Works seems to depend on Internet Explorer 6, which cannot be installed directly in WINE from an exe file because a WINE-branded build of IE 11 is already installed by default.

Workarounds

Used Winetricks to install IE 6 and override WINE IE 11 DLLs.

Additional Comments

This software works well on Linux once installed and most functionality can be accessed. The database program always warns the user upon startup that there are more than 500 fonts on the system.
