Installs fine but will not run without a browser. Installed the ie6 bundle with winetricks, and that made logging-in work. Once logged-in, the game goes to a full-screen "loading" interface, which dies about half-way through the loading process, right after the "Atari" logo displays. Things I tried, in addition to trying all the default and high quality options: using the Wine explorer /desktop trick, setting safe mode in the patcher, setting windowed mode in the patcher, choosing lowered settings, and verifying all files with the patcher. All combinations result in crashing after the "Atari" logo displays. Upon crashing, the CRASH.log file is appended with a single line: "100116 21:22:24 20 MasterControlProgram[1]: Shutting down: C:\src\Core\CrypticLauncher\StartingScreen.c(618)". This trial was performed with wine-git from around 2010-01-08 04:30 UTC.
