This is the boxed retail version of the game. An auto-updater is available, but the update servers are no longer online.
The autorun (though with limitations) and the installer.
What does not
The game itself.
What was not tested
The limitations of the autorun program refer to the fact that when you choose "Setup" there, the program quits and Wine debugger comes up. If the setup program is run directly, it works flawlessly. The only error appears at the end and says "Could not get 'HardWareKey' value.". The title of the window in which the error appears says "3DSETUP", what leaves the origin of the error doubtless. The only problem is the game itself. After running "wine nfs3.exe" and "wine nfs3.exe -d3d0" the game refuses to run, giving "Need For Speed 3 files are corrupted; please re-install."
