Installs (some add-ons won't install correctly). Starts up. Can opening existing projects. Can import files (like .JPGs). Can export to uncompressed .AVI without issue.
What does not
When trying to add things like Transitions to clips, you won't be able to. As a result the only kind of transition I found to work is adjusting Opacity from 100% to 0% manually, via Timeline track adjustment.
If you minimize/maximize program, floating palettes disappear.
Also, I have been unable to import basic, 90s-era .AVI and .MPG (MPEG-1) videos at all. Now, you CAN import old .MOV files, but there is no preview of them, even via the Import clip preview window. And when you export, the videos won't be exported right either and only white space is displayed in place of the clips. The ONLY format I was able to successfully import/export is .WAV audio.
This basically kills the program's use if you want anything but simple slide shows to be made, if it can't import video formats.
What was not tested
I didn't test camcorder import/export, but I'm guessing that won't work either, due to video format/preview issues above.
