What works
Installer starts and confirms the install is the latest version.
What does not
Installer stops before copying any files (progress bar does not move). Brings up an error popup "Servicelayer" with message "Could not stop service". Then tries to do something for a while before giving the error "ERROR_INSTALL_FAILURE". "NokiaMServer.exe" process needs to be killed manually.

Running from shell the following line caught my attention: fixme:actctx:parse_depend_manifests Could not find dependent assembly L"Microsoft.VC80.CRT" (8.0.50727.762) Tried to follow instructions here http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/forums/en-US/vcgeneral/thread/66bc8cab-c134-49a8-85e5-37ca9efbdeb4/ , placed files first in system32 and then install directory but no difference.
