Emulation and debugging functions. Loading and saving (modified) roms, and fixing header checksums. Saved Battery RAM and save states. Sound actually sounds better than it does in Windows in my opinion. GameBoy link emulation using local loopback device - see "what was not tested" for more info.
What does not
Cheat Searcher: In order to use the cheat searcher, you need to populate the initial address list by choosing 8-bit or 16-bit result size, then pressing start. However, once bgb finishes populating the list, bgb crashes with the following error to the console: [[XIO: fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server ":0.0" after 16231 requests (15923 known processed) with 0 events remaining.]] The cheat searcher does work without error in Windows (tested in Vista).
What was not tested
GameBoy link emulation over LAN. The developer states that this functionality is limited to LAN and loopback connections where latency is < 1ms. I haven't actually had the opportunity to test if the link works over a LAN connection.
As far as my testing goes, the only thing preventing a Platinum rating is the fact that the cheat searcher is completely unusable.
