HowTo / Notes

DirectX 10 & Above

Currently (2010/02/24) DirectX 10 and 11 are also available for download, but 9.0c is the highest REQUIRED version for games as of this posting.

DirectX 10 and 11 were created to support their corresponding HD Hardware, and unless you have a compatible graphics card you gain nothing .. yet have the possibility to lose performance on lower end graphics cards.

So unless you know you have a certified DX10 or 11 graphics card, play it safe and stay with 9.0
