Version released by Steam
What does not
What was not tested
No dll overrides, no winetricks needed in 3.0.2. 32-bit or 64-bit prefix works. Steam installed through Valve's SteamSetup.exe.
DX11 does not work with wine 3.0.2 (latest DXVK needs wine 3.10 at least). You can either set the launch options to "AvP.exe" or replace
AvP_DX11.exe with AvP.exe in the games install folder to not start the DX11 version at all. Alt tabbing has issues for me, which I could work around
with a virtual desktop.
In newer versions of wine it seems to work with DXVK, but I have audio issues. Couldn't get it to work reliably with Valve's proton (wine 3.7 atm) yet.
You can run the dedicated server also with wine, which runs perfect too. See this gist for info: https://gist.github.com/Corben...
