What works

Last year I completed my 2008 tax reports using Quicktax 2008 successfully.  I submitted my reports online.

I successfully installed Quicktax 2009 and it seems to be running smoothly but I did not complete my tax reports yet.

In order to make it work, I used Winetricks as indicated for version 2006 (comment #9)  - http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12022

I managed to get Quicktax 2008 to work with wine 1.1.10 by using winetricks
with the following packages.
gecko mono19 firefox3 comctl32 controlpad fm20 fontfix mdac28 msi2 ole2 ie6
wsh56 wsh56js 
..."

I tried installing Quicktax 2008 and 2009 using ies4linux but it did not work.

What does not

"Help" does not display properly when the content is HTML based - it shows the typical IE connection error screen.

I will try to make it work.

The full tax report preperation cycle for 2009 is not tested yet - in process.
