What works

  • dedicated server (battlefront.exe /with /arguments)
  • dedicated server tool (grafical tool for setting up, start & stop the server)

Because I use it on a debian minimal server (x64) I have no X installed, so the grafical tool won't work. But I just set up a .sh, were I run "wine battlefront.exe /and /the /needed /arguments /for /correct /serversettings". It wants to open a window where you usually can kick and ban players, but wine detects there is no X so it just displays an error and continues.

Hint: Even on windows systems, which are non-EN, you'll have to add a argument "/lang ENG" so it uses the correct folder where required files are stored. If you want to use the grafical tool, you'll have to add the "/lang ENG" to the .ini stored in the directory where the .exe files are located.

What does not

What was not tested

  • Installer
    • I run it on a debian minimal server (x64) without X so I installed the game on a windows box, took the folder and put it on the server.

Additional Comments

Did not tried the installer but I'm sure it would work but I tested on a system with no X present.
