1. Extract self extracting package(ABBYY_FineReader_10_PE.exe) 2. In terminal go to folder there you extracted files(default ~/.wine/drive_c/users/your_user/temp/ABBYY FineReader 10) $ cd '~/.wine/drive_c/users/your_user/temp/ABBYY FineReader 10' 3. Launch setup with disabled rollback function $ wine msiexec /i 'ABBYY FineReader 10 Professional Edition.msi' DISABLEROLLBACK=1 now finereader will install and won't delete files(finereader deletes files because setup ends with error) 4. Now you need to launch TrigrammsInstaller.exe file in folder there finereader installed(in my case ~/.wine/drive_c/program files/ABBYY FineReader 10/), launch it there will be no GUI it just will create language files.(without this, if you try to OCR text you'll get "no english.amt found")
